Recognizer
by Shealtiel
Rated: K+ for mild language and mature themes.
Summary: Seeing his face again, recognizing each old frown line, makes her ache for what she should have had.

A/N: This is just a little Creddie I came up with. It's pretty raw, short and based around Daft Punk's piece, Recognizer. Enjoy it and review if you feel like it.

He wouldn't recognize her. Not now. He looks like the same old Freddie seven years later, sitting on a bar stool, chatting away to the bartender as he types away on his computer. He's older, but he's the same Freddie; same smile, same laugh (her heart aches when she hears it) and that same Freddie dorkiness. She's grown and changed since they saw each other last. Her hair is lighter; she's taller, more graceful. She's not a little girl anymore. Seeing his face again, recognizing each old frown line makes her ache for what she knows she could have had all this time. It's achingly obvious to her now that they're bloody perfect for each other, that they always have been. But he wouldn't recognize her. Not now.
