Yes! I'm back with another InuxKik fic! And this time, I'm going to continue it. Unlike the KyoOC fic I started, but that's good as a one-shot. Maybe I'll redo it... Anyway, do be sure to review because I'm trying to figure out my weak and strong points in writing! Be brutal, but don't flame me!

"Inuyasha's not here. Good… I don't want him to know I'm back yet…" Kikyou felt her arm again, poking it to make sure she was once again alive, once again flesh and blood and that this was not a dream, that she wasn't made of clay. She felt different from how she had these last three years… She felt freer, cockier, happier, like she did fifty years ago.
"Kikyou. What are you doing here?" Kikyou turned around to face her reincarnation, Kagome. Kagome had an arrow pointed straight at Kikyou's chest.
"What? Aren't I allowed to travel where I will? In case you didn't know, this village happens to house my sister. The whole world doesn't revolve around you and Inuyasha, and neither do I. So if you will please excuse me, I think I'll go see her now." Kikyou answered, a playful tone accompanying her words.
"You're not here to meet Kaede! Why would you want to?" Kagome accused.
"I… am… related… to… her…" Kikyou said slowly, knowing that although Kagome would be annoyed but she would let her pass. "Besides, I have to give her some herbs that she had wanted to see for fifty years." Kikyou sidestepped Kagome and walked up to Kaede's house. Opening the door, she saw the rest of the gang eating ramen (they figured out how to make it on their own).
"Hello. Has anyone seen my sister lately? I have something to give her…" Kikyou inquired. As Inuyasha started to rise, she stopped him. "No, no! Don't get up from your ramen for me! You must not have remembered your manners. No getting up from the table until everyone's done." Kikyou said slyly as she walked out. Kaede, who had been walking back to the house, saw Kikyou holding out a pouch.
"Dear sister! You're back! Where has Kagome gone to? She had left at the same time I did…" Kaede could sense that her sister had no intention of hurting Kagome at the moment.
"Off into the woods." Kikyou shrugged. Without another word, she turned on her heel and walked off towards the river.
At the river, of course. Where else?
"Ahh, a refreshing bath that I can finally enjoy." Kikyou climbed out of the water and quickly dried off and put on her clothes, which had dried in the blazing afternoon sun. As she picked up her quiver of arrows and her bow, she heard the silent steps of Inuyasha approaching. Picking a flower, she attached it to one of her arrows and let it fly into a tree next to Inuyasha. "I see you, in case you wanted to stalk me." She joked.
"Kikyou? Your scent has returned… You're…" Inuyasha gazed at her, puzzled.
"I'm human again. Where has… what's her name, oh I forget… Kagome! Where has she gone off to?" Inuyasha shrugged as he advanced.
"Meet me at our tree." Kikyou said as she patted Inuyasha's cheek and walked away.
Later, at night
Inuyasha had waited for sometime but she hadn't arrived yet. He soon became ready to give up but his heart told him to wait. Kagome had left to get more supplies from the future in the afternoon, leaving Inuyasha free to go without punishment.
"Inuyasha?" Kikyou walked up to the tree and fingered the vines that grew over the bark.
"Kikyou!" Inuyasha hopped down from the tree and made to embrace her but she slipped out of his reach.
"Inuyasha, look but don't touch. I'm real again!" Kikyou smiled genuinely, something she hadn't done in fifty years. She spun around and jumped in ecstasy.
"Kikyou…" In the moment she got distracted, Inuyasha ran and grabbed her wrists and pulled her into a hug. She tensed up. Her plan had only been to play with his mind for a while and then meet him here and tell him that they could only be friends. A hug now was not part of the plan. Neither was her staring into his eyes and finding herself mesmerized. He pulled her in by her waist and softly kissed her forehead. Kikyou turned her head to the side as she thought.
I can't be with him! He's with my reincarnation now.
You know you want him, Kikyou. Her mind retorted.
But I didn't come back to get together with him! I came back to defeat Naraku and then be with Kaede!
Just let your heart guide you, Kikyou. I mean, if you truly want to be happy, sometimes you just have to ignore my genius and go for it.
…All right.
"Inuyasha… I…" She looked up into his face again. Those beautiful amber eyes, his wonderful silver hair falling around her face, his ears…
"I've never felt your ears before."
"Well, why not now?" Letting her hands free, Inuyasha kneeled and let Kikyou play with his ears.
"Come on. Jump on!" He said as he placed her on his back.
"Where are we- GOING!" She screamed as he took off at high speed. Almost flying away, she quickly wrapped her arms around him and buried her head in his hair. Smelling the sweet scent, she calmed down and trusted Inuyasha to take her somewhere wonderful. Not that any place that they were both in wasn't wonderful already.
