Fun in the Sun
By Lady Merewen
Chapter One: The Gang
The sun gleaned like flashing sabers. Everything in sight melting from dehydration. In the corner of a reluctantly brown-grassed park, sat a group of teenagers roughly seventeen or so. They were laughing and joking with each other. There were two girls and two boys. They all seemed to be of a different race.
Eliza Cabet
As the gang was fooling around, and making each other want to hit them. I couldn't help but think that this is the best frickin' day. Most people, whom I have met, never stay long for my German- Ukrainian (Geneva) accent turns them away.
I guess I should introduce myself I am Eliza Etienne Cabet. Yes I know it sounds French but I am full Genevian. Don't know what Geneva is? It's a kingdom of settlers from Germany and Ukraine. I am 17 years old. My life was never easy. I was born in Sather, Geneva, a small village near the capital – Kyiv- Berlin. I am the middle of 5 children- two of which are dead. They are Charles- at this moment 20, Caroline- passed on at age 5 from malnutrition, me, Etienne- at present 15, and Martine who passed on at age 2 from Cohen's disease. In Geneva my father was a captain in the German army, he always brought tons of goodies from Germany. Mother was a nurse in the Ukrainian army; she brought lots of good Ukrainian food. At age four, the Emperor Yozuki, or fat fart killed my parents. So at age four, with Charles, Etienne we moved to Canada to live with Aunt and Uncle. I still find English hard after 13 years and still have a strong accent that refuses to go away. Many people after the release of Lord of the Rings says that I looked a lot like some upper class Rohanin, part of the royal family. This causes me to laugh and have to use somebody as a crutch. Now I get my auburn hair from my mom who was Ukrianian Geneva (Someone whose parents are from Ukraine.), I am proud of my long curly hair that falls in cascades to my butt. I get my blue-green eyes from papa who's German. At the present time life couldn't be better.
Yobe Homorotu
As we settled down and Carrot (aka Eliza) also settled into deep thought, I couldn't help but think of my own past. My full name is Yobe-San Homorotu- in Japan are name are put on last. I was born in Kyoto, Japan, a small village in the sheep-farming district of Takeda. I am 17 years old, and my life is far from easy. If one draws a scale easy would be on one end and me at the other end. I am the youngest of eight, and which one is dead. I have two brothers- Taro, and Yotizuki. Three sisters- Atzi, Melanze- whom passed on, and Yore. I moved to Canada seven years ago after the deaths of mother, father and Mel. I live with my grandparents. Canada is so cold in comparison to Japan. I have never gotten used to the weather, and often wondered why didn't Grandpa and Grandma move to some place like Australia or Brazil? Since my parents were killed by Emperor Yozuki Homorutze- fat fart, yes he really is fat, in attempt to have communism rule, I have worked hard to become a skilled Samurai. You may think because of this I would want to join the army, but no I want to be a brain surgeon. Grandpa who is old fashioned says I look the classical perfect Japanese girl unlike my other sisters. I am the one with desired raven black hair unlike Atzi with bright red hair- don't ask where she got the color. I have the desired steel gray eyes unlike Yore who has smoky blue eyes. I am the one with the porcelain features unlike both who have wide set faces. I am glad that here, I found family and friends.
Che Chamerliyne
The sun is finally setting down, cooling the hot animals. I can't help but think.
I should introduce myself, I am Che Chamerliyne, I know my life hasn't been very tragic according to my friends, but tragic to others. My Mom was killed in a drunk driving accident- no she wasn't the drunk. I am the oldest of three- Andy, Melanie, and Georgiya. I am 17. I enjoy farming the old fashioned way, that's why I am called the Cowboy.
Angelo Donitello
The sun is setting making my mind reel back to the days I spent with Grasice in Crete, sitting watching the golden sunset. But I am not there with Grasice in my arms, I am in Canada, with buddies or best friends, many are surprised that I am so far after being in the sun a lot. I have this sudden urge to go out in the sea, dance with the sailboat like I used to do at home with Papa. I am seventeen, an age that in Crete is called Yosine- age Temptation. I think right now it is the age of Yosine, for I have been facing many temptations. If the sky was any clearer one could almost see Crete. I am the oldest of seven (including me)- Iondon, Chezi, Angela, Mindy, Autumn, Azurea. Being the oldest is a great responsibility. Next year, I will be able to take over my fathers seaside business eve though I don't want to , I can probably convince my parents to let me go back to Crete and serve in the army, that many people moan and whine about.
(Normal)
The sun settled with the gang staring at its peacefulness that it inspires. Yobe almost started crying because of its sheer beauty. The park by now had been emptied of all the people because of the fear of crazy lunatics that inhibit the park at night. Che looked around and suggested; ' Uh, guys we'd better go before it becomes to dark for us to find our way home' Yobe agreed
' I agree, for if we don't 'eave now we never find our way home.'
