So this little drabble features the new Woodgrove-Cipher family I made. Hey, if people can make family one-shots for BillDip and MaBill, I think it is pretty justified for me to write a BillxOC family one-shot.
Maria was just driving home from the store after a long shopping day, which consisted of keeping all her kids and her husband from shoplifting. For some reason, instead of scolding Tilly, Lenny and Nia for such criminal activity, Bill seemed to encourage it. Yup, typical Saturday.
They were driving home from the next town over since they decided that the trip could double as some sort of vacation. The road was void of all other cars, simply fields and trees for miles. The car was silent, an argument about the shape of the clouds having just ended.
"Mommy, there's something on the road!" 7-year-old Tilly yelled out, pointing at the little spot.
Maria hit the brakes, sending everyone jolting forward. There was a squelching sound as the car screeched to a halt.
"Oh my God, was that a bird?" Maria asked as she looked to the back of the car.
"Is it dead?" 5-year-old Lenny asked.
Maria backed up the car, sending another cracking sound through the vehicle.
"It is now." Bill chuckled as Maria gave a distraught expression before her head fell to the steering wheel in shame.
The horn honked loudly for a few seconds before she straightened herself again. "I just killed a bird." she said dully.
"Can we go look at it?" 4-year-old Nia asked hopefully.
"Sure!" Bill said, already unbuckling his seat belt.
The kids all hopped out happily to look at the disfigured creature as their mother sat in the car to wallow in self-pity and mentally make a note to have a tiny memorial for the innocent creature she killed.
I know it's not that long, but I'm hoping that the bird line kept you in stitches. BTW I'm just going to say that the bird isn't really innocent. The bird in the story was very evil and attacked my brother with poop bombs for no reason.
