Chapter 1.: Surprise Meeting in a Church.
As Kennedy Martinez walked along the streets of Rio, Brazil, she wondered why it was that she tended to avoid churches: Sure, she had been living a lifestyle not compatable with mainline Christianity, but with all the stresses she would be under with her role of being obliged to save people's lives nowadays, "Why the *bleep* not?" she muttered to herself as she crossed the street to enter the local Catholic Church.
Kennedy was, needless to say, more than a little uncomfortable with people learning about what she had done, and she was frightned by the prospect of being known as a bit of a pervert... besides, she didn't remember most of her religious upbringing, but was determined to make a report in case this weight she had to bear broke her one day.
When she had knelt down and made the sign of the Cross, she kind-of felt an internal voice saying "My daughter, why worry. Welcome home. Right now I don't care what you've done in the past, I'm just glad that you're willing to talk again."
She didn't know what to think of this, but she didn't feel afraid of this mysterious voice sending her this message...
