Roark comes down with high fever and Byron has to nurse his boy back to health.
Roark couldn't get any sleep for the past couple of nights. He woke up feeling sick. His arms and legs felt like lead. He felt tired. He also felt hot and cold. The poor 21 year old man felt awful.
"I think I should stay home today." Roark said. He called the gym told them he was feeling sick and couldn't come in today. He also called the mine.
"Ugh, I got lay down." Roark said. Roark plopped down on his bed. The phone rang. Roark got up and picked up the phone. "Hello?" He croaked.
"Hey son I'm going to be visiting for a few days. You and me are going to have some father son time isn't that great?" Byron said.
"It does, " Roark said in a croaky voice.
"Are you alright son?" Byron asked.
"I don't feel well. In fact I feel awful." Roark said.
"Don't worry son I'm at the Pokemon center right now I coming over." Byron said.
"Okay bye." Roark said hanging up. He went back to bed.
Byron rushed from the Pokemon center and headed for the house where is son lived. He bought his son's favorite drink soda pop. Byron bought some soup. Byron arrived at his son's house. He knocked on the door.
Roark came up and opened the door. "Son I'm here now, now get in bed." Byron said.
Roark climbed into bed. Byron took his temperature. "103.4 you need to stay in bed." Byron said. He poured Roark some soda he gave Roark a pill. "Roark this will help with your fever." Byron said.
Roark put the pill in his move and took it down with some soda. Roark pulled his covers up. "Roark I'm going to cook some soup, just get some rest now." Byron said.
"Okay dad." Roark said.
Byron got a wet wash cloth and put it on Roark's forehead. Roark began to sleep. Byron began to cook the soup in a pot. Byron poured the warm soup in a bowl.
"Okay son time for lunch." Byron said. Roark woke up. Byron set the tray down. "Eat up son." Byron said.
Roark ate the food. "Thanks dad." Roark said.
"Welcome. Now get some rest." Byron said.
Roark was sleeping. Byron looked at his son he stroked his head and saw his son's muscular arms and everything and thought about his son's deeper voice. He looked again and saw a baby. Byron had a flashback rocking his son to sleep. Byron then saw young six year old boy wearing his first pair of glasses and giving him the first fossil he found. Then he saw a teenager and having a battle with him with their prized fossil Pokemon. He shook his head and reminded himself that Roark was a grown man.
Byron began to stroke Roark's hair without thinking about it. Roark sighed and smiled in his sleep. Byron loved his boy very much.
Roark woke up a bit later. Byron had left to put more cool water in the wash cloth. Byron came back with bowl of water and placed it on the table and began to wipe Roark's face. "Here." Byron said handing him the glass full of soda.
"Thank dad." Roark said.
"I will stay until you're well." Byron said.
"Thanks dad." Roark said.
"I'll make some dinner you feel like eating?" Byron asked.
"Yes I'm feeling pretty hungry." Roark said.
Byron brought in some food. Roark began to eat. "Looks your appetite has come back." Byron said.
"Yes I'm feeling much better." Roark said.
About two hours later Byron took his temperature. "100.1 your fever has gone down." Byron said.
"Thanks for being here dad." Roark said.
"Anytime son." Byron said.
The next day. Roark was sleeping bed. Byron took his temperature. "98.4 healthy." Byron said.
Roark woke up. "Feel better son?" Byron asked.
"Yes a lot better I feel great!" Roark said. "So where are we going for our father son time?" Roark asked.
"To the Trilia region their a lot of fossils there I hear." Byron said.
"Great I can't wait." Roark said.
But when they go to Trilia Byron didn't know his son was getting married.
