I did not know how long we have been standing on her porch steps. I looked over at her she was shivering. "Here" I said wraping my jacket around her. She didnt say anything as I put my jacket around her."Elena I-" she cut me off

"Damon, Don't" she told me.

"Why?" I questioned her.

she didnt say anything I grabbed her and wraped my arms around her cupping her chin."Elena, why?" I asked her. She placed her hand on my cheek and looked into my eyes.

"Because It hurts, Damon if you loved me why did you comple me to forget?" she asked taking her hand away from my face.

I looked back into her eyes "Elena, I compeled you because I love you." I told her cupping both sides of her face. "Trust me. It was needed then." I told her truthfully.

"For you it was, but what about for me?" she questioned me.

"I wasn't thnking " I told her

she didn't say anything at first she pulled herself away from me walking towards the door then she stopped and turned around. "Maybe, if you didn't compel me we'd be togother." she said before going into the house.

"We still can" I said to myself.

I sighed. "You know you can't sneek up on me" I said turning around to see Bonnie standing in the door way. "I know, I just wanted to see if you were okay?" she asked standing next to me.

"I'm fine, Bonnie." I told her. "Why do you even care?" I asked her

She looked at me. "Because she's my friend, Damon, and you love her." she finshed walking away going back into the house.

I do love her. More then I loved Kathrine, Rose or Andy. I love Elena more then anything but she loves Stefan and always will Vampire or not she will always love him before me.

"Damon, Come inside" Stefan said standing in the door way.

I didn't say anythnig to him.

I turned around and walked into the house with out saying a word to him or looking at him. He

came inside behind me going into the sitting room sitting infront of the fire place with Bonnie & Elena. and I just walked up to my room without saying a word to them.
