ARTHUR'S POV

"The past couple years have changed me in ways that I'm not keenly proud of. This could have been avoided if my father had forced me to get a car of my own. Thank god I hate driving.

Back to my first day of my new job in the city, I had the choice of my own to walk the mile or so distance. While on my route, a nice stranger cut a few feet in front of me. This stranger had the courtesy of having an exceptional arse.

This was troubling behavior on my part and surely my father would disapprove but I couldn't help looking. The walk ended when I reach my destination and I go right to work after the greatly appreciated pick-me-up. I thought it would've ended there.

Everyday this fellow would beat me on my walk and I assumed there was an imaginary competition between us. Over the few times of secretly staring at him, I had caught a few glimpses of his face and he was absolutely gorgeous. Maybe he had noticed me too, as sometimes the sway of his hips would fluctuate in a flirting manner. I told my half sister about him during one of our lunches together and she couldn't have been more delighted."

"You should catch up to him and say hello! It's so obvious that he wants you to." Morgana gushed.

"I dunno. We've never even established proper eye contact. I mean, I want to introduce myself, I so do, but what if he's a prat? Or worse, straight." I thought of the worst possible outcome.

Morgana smirked at me from across the table. "You're being silly. By the character you described, there's no way he wouldn't be into you."

"So there is a chance."

"Arthur-"

"Only teasing," I smile as I kissed her forehead goodbye. "I'll tell you how things go."

"You better!" I heard Morgana call after me.

"Then passed more days to which I do nothing. I acted like such a creep, staring at this random person I didn't know. But I felt that I did know him, if only a little. And I daydreamed getting to know him and taking him out on meaningful dates all the time. Like I said before, creepy.

Then one day, I didn't see him walking in front of me. I was alone; I had lost my chance. But, I was going to win our race for the first time. When suddenly, a blur rushed past me and stopped just in my way. It was him. He then turned his head around and said his first words to me.

"I've been beating you here for two months, I'm not going to stop now."

When I saw his goofy face and heard his snarky voice, I fell head over heels for him. Then, due to the circumstances, I was forced to introduce myself. And I'm so grateful because it brought us all here today," I spoke to the beaming crowd spread in front of me. "So please, let's raise our glasses to this joyous occasion of Merlin and my wedding."

The ballroom that was filled with friends and family alike extended their champagne glasses to the head table. Merlin rose next to me with his glass extended and a smile spread widely on his face. "Cheers!" He exclaimed happily.

I looked at my amazing husband and we shared a kiss. I'm glad that I can share the rest of my life with my one true love.
