Snow

Snow hurt.
Kadaj couldn't very well decide why it hurt, but it hurt.
His visit with Sephiroth had numbed his senses with the ecstasy of being accepted into such a glorious presence. He couldn't think, could only walk down the path, back to his brothers, all the while dreaming of returning to Sephiroth again when he was wanted.
Kadaj decided to just accept that the snow was out to get him, and kept walking. It still took a while for his body to realize what his mind couldn't comprehend.
When he fell, he saw the red-dyed snow around him, and Kadaj got a vague idea of an answer to his initial question, but he passed out before he could get it clear.
Sephiroth frowned down at the body of the Remnant, with a gun bullet in his shoulder, and blood soaking the snow around him.
He dug the bullet out, inspected it.
An amused, cruel, smirk crossed his lips.
Cerberus' bullet… So Vincent Valentine does get jealous, after all… I'm sorry, pet, you had to die. But even a were-rabbit like you can't stand up to the three-headed dog of Hades.
The soft rustle of a cloak he knew was the same colour as Kadaj's wound.
"Murder, pet? You stoop so low."
"And you? You're not even reacting."
"I have other toys. Namely, you."
Sephiroth whirled around and caught Vincent by the scruff of his cloak, slammed him down in the crimson-dyed snow beside Kadaj's body.
