"(Y/N)! What are you doing here?" Scott smiled brightly at you, obviously thrilled about your surprise visit.

"Hiya, Scott!" You smiled back in return. You felt a little bad, because although you had been to the Animal Clinic a good number of times (mostly for supernatural reasons) you very rarely visited him while he was 'working'. You didn't like to be a distraction and you definitely did not want to do anything to get him in trouble. Of course, now you felt like you needed to pretend that you were there for him… if only for a bit… he did look super excited and it probably wouldn't hurt to butter him up a little bit. "I wanted to see you, obviously."

He made his way past the counter to give you a quick kiss, "Lucky for you, Deaton isn't here right now, so I'm all yours."

Deaton wasn't there. Damnit! You really need to talk to him… you weren't sure how much longer Derek would last without him. "Ooh, manning the shop all by your lonesome? How long exactly am I going to have you to myself?" You batted your eyelashes up at the boy who was a good head or two taller than you.

Scott loved when you came to visit. Especially when you were both by your lonesome. Between highschool, jobs, a pack and an ever present supernatural crisis always on the brink of being, you two rarely had an ample amount of alone time. He grabbed hold of the back of your thighs and lifted you onto the countertop with ease. "About 30 minutes… that should work right?"

You nodded, a little eagerly. How were you supposed to say no to those big, gorgeous, brown eyes? For a moment you completely forgot why you were there… Scott attached his lips to yours, muffling a small protest that was on the tip of your tongue, yet it never made its way to being audible.

"(Y/N)! What exactly are you doing?" Scott broke away from you at the sound of Derek barking from the front door. Well the barking wasn't so much from Derek, but his tone was just as vicious.

Scott looked at the mangy looking dog that Derek was holding. He had patches of hair missing and he was in desperate need of a bath. Although, the small K9 seemed docile enough, but he wouldn't be surprised if the animal was rabid… The only real question was why Derek had him…

A sigh escaped Scott's lips as the answer suddenly came to him. He looked at you with a knowing look and he suddenly realized that you weren't there to see him.

"Scott, look at him! He's adorable and he was so hungry and dirty and I just needed Deaton to look at him and get him up to date on his shots. I swear I'll ask around and put up flyers!" At this point you had hopped off the counter and taken your new little pal from Derek's arms. "Look at him, Scott… he needs us…."

Scott was trying his best not to smile at you. You were all the time helping animals find their way back to their homes or finding them new homes and he loved the compassion and love you felt for them… However, he could see it in your eyes that this one was different. This one you were going to keep. "What'd you name him?"

You beamed up at him. You knew he had not per say given you his 'blessing' but he was well on his way, "Scottie!"

Derek laughed and Scott scowled. You named the dog after him… He knew you meant it as an honor, but he wasn't quite feeling the complimentary part of it yet.
