A prompt from onepieceyaoi inspired this.

It's the middle of the day.

It is hot.

Very hot.

I am half asleep.

I can see the sky.

It is blue.

Blue. So blue.

Everything is so blue.

Blue is everywhere.

Blue is above the ship.

Blue is below the ship.

My nakama are blue.

Blue on Sanji's clothes.

Blue in Nami's hand.

Blue in Robin's eyes.

Blue on Franky's arm.

Blue on Chopper's nose.

Ussop has blueprints.

Luffy has blue shorts.

Where's my blue?

I must have said it out loud.

Luffy hurls a sock into my face.

It's blue.

Here, he says, laughing. Here's some blue for you too.

Ussop hands me a little pellet.

Smoke bomb, he says with a smile. Throw it.

I snort and toss it.

To my surprise, but not to his, the smoke is blue.

Chopper tells me he'll give me some blue bandages next time I get hurt.

Franky offers me some blue hair dye.

Robin loans me a book with a blue cover.

Totally out of the blue.

Nami gives me a blue quill.

She charges me for it.

Sanji kicks me off the ship.

Into the water.

.

.
...

The water is blue.

I can see the sky from beneath the waves.

What a beautiful, cloudless blue.

Alright. Now...

I am awake.

...but why am I still wrapped in blue?

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed, and if you did, I hope you leave a favorite, follow, or review behind. Please check out my profile, as I have a number of fan fictions up and running. Don't worry, they're not all as weird as this one.

Thanks again!

AN: The prompt was "Blue", if you couldn't tell. Also, the line breaks were meant to indicate the passage of time from one thought to the next. It was kind of intended to be Zoro slipping in and out of dreamland and real time. I wish I could have gotten the spaces between the lines to show up. They gave this a sleepier, slower feeling.
