She gave him her most happiest smile that she ever had,as they both sat there watching Atlantis' sunset,it reflected across the water.And he held her in his warm embrace,resting his head next to her's,she could feel his heart beat through his chest against her back.Her eye's fluttered closed as she listened to it more deeply,she slowly turned in his arm's and looked into his eye's.Cupping his face in her hand's,she looked it over with her utmost admiration.From his boyish smile to his usually messy black hair and then back to his sparkling eye's."What are you doing?" he asked cupping her face in return with his own gentle hand's.
"I'm just checking..." she gave a weak smile and ran her finger's through his hair,so soft to the touch.She brought in a deep breath of air,Atlantis was so fresh compared to Earth,then she let it out as a sigh of simple relief.
"For what?" he said resting his forehead gently to her's,he searched her eye's and felt so very complete in them.He breathed her in and almost became dizzy with pure such pure content.
"I'm just making sure you're real and that I'm not just dreaming...and if this is a dream I never want to wake up unless you're there..." she ran her finger's along the ridge of his jaw and to his lip's where he gently kissed them.
"This all does feel like a dream...here with you...I've never been so happy and content...in this moment...all I want to do is love you..." he pulled her close to him as his breath lingered on her finger tip's.
"John...I..." he took her hand and laid a kiss upon it,so chivalric,she smiled and brought his gaze to her's,"I...I love you,"she searched his eye's and he gave her the brightest smile that he'd ever given her that night.
"I love you,too," he leaned in and gently placed a kiss upon her lip's as a shooting star shot by in the star cluttered sky.
