He turns towards her, hard steel in his eyes. His whole demeanor is cold, so unlike him.

"I don't want you," he says, enunciating each word carefully, weighing them.

Her blood runs cold, freezing into ice. "No," she whispers. Her voice catches," Please don't do this." She stares through misty eyes, unconsciously reaching out for him. He flinches away, and she drops her pale, quivering hand. Her long brown hair flows behind her as she wraps her arms around her cold, shivering self. The tears start to fall.

The steel in his eyes toughens, showing no mercy, and no love for the girl he once adored. He turns unapologetically away and speaks to the wind. "You're no good for me."

Her heart pounds, breaking into unfixable pieces. Her strength shatters and she drops to her knees, sobbing. She looks at him, pleading with her brown eyes. She speaks," No, I know you're lying! Stop playing this game!" But no sound comes out.

He turns his head back to her, and for a moment, his face softens. There's something recognizable in his eyes, something she's familiar with. A glint of the guy she loves. His gaze lingers, and she believes she sees the love for her in them. His eyes stare, unbreaking, and he looks as if his resolve has crumbled. But suddenly he glances away and the steel is back, tougher, and his face hardens again.

"I don't want you," he says clearly and resolutely as he turns away from her and begins walking away.

"No!" she screams, unsteadly trying to follow him. She trips, flailing and sinks to the ground in the impenetrable darkness.

"I don't love you," he says, one final stab, as he finally leaves her.
