A Day in the Life of Death the Kid

A one-shot of Soul Eater

As Kid woke up from his sleep at 8:00 AM, he made sure he was in the very center of his bed. But he found he was 2 centimeters away. Damn it! Every time this happens, it is bound to be a bad day, he thought. He got up and straightened his bed with the most symmetry he could make. He changed his clothes to his symmetrical outfit, walked down his symmetrical hall and went into the kitchen to get breakfast. He ate and cleaned up and had no school that day. Hmm… I wonder what to do? He thought. With Patty and Liz out, I'm on my own. What to do… Liz had been complaining about her brows again, I could make her a blueprint. Yeah, I'll do that! So Kid got his fancy easel and paper and sketched away. He made sure he sketched lightly and had plenty of erasers, he'd definitely need them.

After over 5 hours, he was finished. "Perfect!" he exclaimed, his eyes wide and sparkly, cheeks pink. "Everything is perfectly balanced. Just splendid!" he said clapping his hands together. "Liz will be so happy that I already did it; but I wonder why Patty never has this problem… She is a character, that's for sure," He was extremely pleased with himself.

Then the front door opened. "Hey Kid, were home!" said Liz.

"Liz! Look at what I've done for you! Aren't they perfect?" he said, pointing to his sketch.

"Yeah, Kid, their great," she said smiling.

"Liz? Where's Patty?" he asked looking around.

"Damn it Patty!" she said running out the door. Kid just sighed.

"That's Patty for ya," he said aloud. "I should probably go help Liz," so he grabbed his skateboard and set out.

Once he found Liz, he told her to go into weapon form so they could go faster. "Patty!" they yelled. After a while, they came up to a beach and saw a figure playing in the sand. "No doubt that's her," said Kid. He pulled up beside her and came to a stop. "Weapon form, now!" he ordered.

"Of course!" said Patty, transforming into her gun, putting herself in his hand. Kid rode away, holding on to them.

Once they got home, Kid started working on Liz's eyebrows while Patty did her weird Patty thing.

"Hey Kid, it's starting to get late. Maybe we should take a break," she offered.

"No!" he snapped. "We must complete it or I won't be able to sleep. C'mon Liz, I know it hurts! I know how tiring it is! Just bear through it!" he encouraged.

"Oh, Kid. You're so… Weird," Liz said.

"Kid! Liz! Look at this!" said Patty as she held up another recreation of a giraffe.

"That's great Patty," said Liz in a bored voice.

"Good job Patty," said Kid still working on Liz's brows, not looking up at all.

All in all, Death the Kid may not have the most interesting day, but he does enjoy spending it with Patty and Liz!
