Hey, guys! As I was reading 'A World Without Princes', in chapter 18, it says 'Agatha never regretted having a father, not until this fleeting moment, when she realized what it must mean to have one.' So, the writer in me said FANFIC TIME! I just hadn't gotten around to writing this. I got a MacBook Air today from my grandpa cause the MacBook Pro he had given me broke in about three months, and he felt really bad so he bought me this. HE'S FLIPPING AWESOME! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this story!
August Sader looked down at arriving students, all princesses, he knew. Well, he appeared to be looking at them, but he had never seen a thing in his life. His visions, though, made up for that.
Suddenly, he felt a strong emotion stirring up inside of him, right when the whole foyer fell dead silent. He turned his head until the emotion felt the strongest, then smiled. He knew the princess he smiled at must think he's a crackpot. But he didn't care. He had foreseen everything that he would do for this girl, and her past, and he intended to be what Agatha of Woods Beyond had never had-
A father.
The blind professor was guided to his lone room on Valor's top floor, and with the help of his magic, and Clarissa Dovey, made a steaming cup of tea.
"August?" The seer turned to his colleague.
"Yes, Clarissa?" He asked in his warm, deep voice.
"That girl you smiled at... Is she the on you told me about? The one who you will sacrifice everything for?" The Dean wondered. Sader just nodded. Clarissa stared for a moment, realizing that she wouldn't have one more full year with this man. She went up to embrace him.
At first August was surprised at this gesture, but then slowly wrapped his strong arms around Clarissa's frame. She pulled away.
"Well," she said as she smoothed her chartreuse dress. "I guess that I will see you tomorrow, August."
"I believe you will," the man replied. Clarissa turned and walked out of the room. August picked up his tea and thumbed open a thick book, when he found the page he wanted. He touched the dots, and the book came alive to a woman's narration. He sipped his still warm tea while a voice filled the room- 'Chapter One-The Departure of Boromir.'
It was a little past midnight when August finished the book. His tea was long gone, and he suspected that everyone else was asleep. He took off his suit top and bottom and hung them up, then slipped on a pair of sleeping pants. As he climbed into his rather large bed, his body jerked, and his eyes cleared.
In his mind, in full color, he could see himself limp from the Woods, patches of blood on him, from thorns, he presumed, and looked up at the Good School Master's ghost, next to the alive Evil one. He saw Sophie, dying in Agatha's arms, and knew that he was going to sacrifice his body to the ghost to save everyone from the Evil brother.
The vision ended before he could see the rest, and in his heart he knew that he would help Agatha. He would smile at her. He would encourage her.
He would be the father she never had.
