He's Out There, This Time
A/N- This is for all my friends...Dom, Kenzi, Dorie,
Meg...but especially for Madeline (Madgirl Insane)
"Do you think he's really out there?" I flinched at
the question, for even I didn't believe it. I looked
up from my magazine.
I looked at her. The girl was one of my best friends,
so I couldn't crush her like this. She'd asked this
so many times and this time, I truly didn't know what
to say.
She wanted someone, like every other preteen girl in
the student body, but this someone was to be...Draco.
Changing the subject I said "C'mon. I'm really tired.
Maybe you should go home."
"Okay. See ya tomorrow!" She walked out the door and
started on her way home.
I remember thinking to myself, "What is she gonna do
when she finally realizes Draco isn't real?" Well, I
was wrong, so very wrong.
Climbing into bed, like every other regular night, I
stared at my Harry Potter calendar, studying it,
reading it like a book. Thinking out loud, I said,
"Wonder what it'd be like, at Hogwarts---in the whole
wizarding world."
Just then I looked out the window, only to see a
shooting star. I said my wish to myself.
I must've feel into a deep sleep before I realized
that someone was tapping me on the shoulder. I opened
my eyes and I couldn't believe what I saw.
The young boy, looking me straight in the eye, looked
a lot like...um...Harry Potter? "C'mon, get up, we'll
miss the express."
"Er---the express?" I said sleepily. "The Hogwarts
Express?"
"Yeah. Your bags have been packed and your
friend---Er, Madelynn, Madeline, whatever--- is
coming."
"Madeline? Wait, why are you taking me to Hogwarts?"
"You wished to come to Hogwarts, right?"
"Yeah, but it's all fake, I mean---pinch me, DO
SOMETHING!!"
The next thing I knew was that I was on the "express"
with Madeline. I leaned over. "Mad, what are we
doin' here?"
"I dunno, just pretend you know what you're doing."
She smiled at me. I smiled too but, what was I doing
here?
The express stopped and Madeline and I stepped off the
train. After we were all settled into our houses and
all (Both of us Slytherin) we traveled to out first
class---potions.
Snape. I've read a lot about him. Mean, nasty. In
honor of our arrival, he had everyone in the class
stand up and say their name.
The first boy stood up "Draco Malfoy." I looked at
Madeline. She was smiling of course.
The second stood up "Draco Malfoy." The third, "Draco
Malfoy." The fourth, "Draco Malfoy." The fifth...
I jerked my head to my left. Madeline just looked at
me. It was so strange.
Well the class ended and Madeline and I traveled back
to Slytherin house.
We hadn't actually talked about the event that had
just happened. Madeline and I sat down, "Do you think
he's out there?"
This time I knew what to say, "Yeah Mad, he's out
there this time---and you'll find him."
A/N- Please don't flame.
