You are eleven. You and Mary are finally at Hogwarts (well the train) and you're sharing a compartment and betting chocolate frogs on which house you'll be in. (She's an obvious Gryffindor and wants you to be together. But you don't feel very brave.)

You are twelve. There's a boy in the year above named Gideon who always seems to be staring at you. (It's creepy but when he goes home for Christmas you feel a little lost.)

You are thirteen. Mary's always around Alice Prewett and Lily Evans and you're always around Benjy Fenwick and Moira Williams. It is strange how quickly childhood friendships fall. (You really did think it would last forever.)

You are fourteen. Outside a man calling himself 'Voldemort' is starting a war. Mary's scared but you're sure he can't be worse than Grindlewald. (Can he?)

You are fifteen. You have to get tutoring from Amos Diggory for transfiguration or you'll fail your exam and you really want to be a healer. (There are some benefits though.)

You are sixteen. The war outside is growing and you're terrified for your friends, family and complete strangers. People out there will die and never know why. (Gideon's leaving this year and you don't know who you'll survive without his staring.)

You are seventeen. Moira's parents have been killed for being 'blood-traitors' and none of you can concentrate on exams. Dumbledore made a speech about doing what is right and what is easy and you're scared you've already chosen the wrong path. (Doing nothing just doesn't feel right.)

You are eighteen. You are doing something: becoming a healer and joining the Order of the Phoenix. Gideon's there too and you already feel safer with him around. (With the way he talks you almost believe we could win.)

You are nineteen. Gideon, Mary and Benjy are all dead. You throw yourself into battle and become fiercer than ever. (Suddenly death doesn't seem that bad.)

You are twenty. In just two years you have become a killer (the worst thing is that you don't seem to care) and now Voldemort is in front of you. (Doing what is right has never felt this good.)

Just to clear up any confusion;

Dorcas, Benjy and Moira are in Ravenclaw.

Mary, Alice, Gideon and Fabian are in Gryffindor.

Moira is supposed to be Seamus' mother so technically not an OC

Dorcas, Benjy, Moira and Mary become very close friends; they're not as close to Alice and Lily who are best friends once Lily stops being Snape's friend.
