The fifteen year old, young and foolish Kagome Higurashi.
She thought she understood everything, the difference between right and wrong, good and evil.

She didn't believe in magic, she didn't believe in demons, she didn't believe that monsters would crawl out of children's closets and eat them while they're asleep. She knew that. Everyone did…well the normal people did. And trust me Kagome Higurashi was nothing close to being normal. Not even when she was born.

Too bad all her "knowledge" was ripped out from under her on the morning of her fifteenth birthday. What a tragedy it is to be hit by reality. She was confused, scared, uncertain. And then the truth came out when she freed Inuyasha from Kikyo's enchanted arrow. Now she had a duty to fulfill, to restore the shikon shards.
Of course she did, she was the one who shattered it in the first place.
Here she is, leading a double life, living in the past and in the present at the same time. Guess that's what you get for growing up with a crazy priest for a grandpa.
