Intro
Ch 1: setting scene of Janus and Joh, in the Tiber Septim hotel, inspecting a murder.
Ch 2: Carla POV, watching arena fight, wins gamble, goes to tavern and witnesses murder.
Ch 3: Joh questions Carla, and Janus inspects crime scene.
Ch 4: Janus is ambushed and captured by mysterious cult (sons of the Elder Order). Joh doesn't gain any information
Ch 5: Joh ascertains, via unorthodox means, that Carla was on an assignment for the Dark Brotherhood, when her target was eliminated by purple robed figure. She goes to find Janus, but finds signs of a struggle and deduces that he has been abducted.
Ch 6: Janus wakes up on board a ship, trussed up, and realises that his captors are extremely powerful and have many resources. He kills his guard by kicking him up the nose, sending it straight into his brain, killing instantly. He then cuts his ropes with the guard's sword and dons the late guard's robes, posing as him. He goes up to the deck to see what's going on. Meanwhile, Joh is tracing Janus, via means of a very clever spell, when she runs into a dead end. This is until she sees the ghost of the Ayleid king in her head, which implores her to use an ayleid spell to find him...
Ch 7: joh traces Janus to an undiscovered ayleid plane with a huge, mangled battlespire, where janus is currently infiltrating the ranks of the sons of the elder order.
