Chasing Paradise

From the very first moment, when your gaze first stole mine

I knew that every second spent in your arms, would be a minute well spent of my time

I know you would never forget me, not purposely anyway

So I beg of you to love me, and tell me that you'll stay

You've stolen my heart, you've reshaped my dreams

I can no longer see a future for myself, if you're not in the scheme

You gave me something to live for, a goal to avidly seek

And it's made up of everything you, so it's for you that I reach

Don't go on without me, I can't do this on my own

Even if afore I succeeded, I no longer want to be alone

We don't need "I love you" to finalize our hopeless situation

For I know that we've both came to such a final realization

You say you're chasing Paradise, well I found mine in you

Please tell me that you believe this, and that what I'm feeling is true

And when the end comes, and you're standing before judgement's gates

I'll be there to catch up to you, praying that I'm not too late
