A/N: Okay, I know I should be working on my Teen Titans fanfic, but I just finished Snk and I had an idea for a oneshot that I just had to write down. I'm really excited for it, so please read and review :)

Wham! The Titan's fist slammed into the ground where I had just been standing only a moment ago. My 3-D maneuvering gear had been broken at the beginning of the battle and I had only survived this long thanks to my two teammates. Both of them were now dead. They had been devoured by the Titan, so it was with a cry of rage that I now threw myself at the monstrosity.

The Titan was preoccupied examining its empty hand, as if wondering where its plaything had gone. Its movements were clumsy, but quick. I knew I had to be quicker. Taking advantage of its momentary confusion I scaled its massive foot and sank my twin blades deep into the flesh around its ankle. The Titan let out a roar and collapsed backwards onto its rear. My blades were set free of its ankle and I was sent flying, skidding to a stop on the hard ground.

As I lay there, momentarily dazed, I suddenly felt its meaty hand wrap around me. My legs snapped like twigs in its vice-like grip. The vile creature raised me toward its repulsive face, huge eyes filled with what seemed like a strange curiosity. I watched the Titan open its mouth into a grotesque grin, fountains of drool spilling out of the sides.

This is the end, I thought, bracing for the inevitable.

"Nathan, no!" The woman scolded her son, once she realized what he was doing sitting in the grass. "We don't eat spiders," she reminded the toddler as she fished in his mouth for the creature's remains. She unceremoniously flicked them, and a considerable amount of saliva, into the grass.

"Charlie, I told you to watch him!" she called as she scooped Nathan up into her arms, brushing off a spiderweb that had been stuck to him.

"Sorry, Mom," Charlie apologized briefly, before continuing to play with his friends in the yard.

"What are we going to do with him?" the mother sighed. Nathan snuggled up against her and yawned quietly; it was time for his afternoon nap. As she began to walk back towards the house she noticed that one of Nathan's ankles was red and swollen. "Did that mean old spider bite you?" she cooed, touching the spot gingerly.

"Let's get you cleaned up."
