"Jeg elsker dig."

"I know."

"Jeg elsker dig."

"I said I know."

"Jeg elsker di-"

"I said I know!" the Norwegian sputtered, turning to the obnoxious Dane next to him. His own face had grown a bright pink, and as compared to Aksel's still-pale face, he was quite a sight. By then the whole class had turned to look at the pair sitting in the back of the room, including the teacher.

"Got something to tell the class?" Mr. Vargas, the usually cheery Italian man had a loud and booming voice. Eirik, now standing up at his desk, fist raised to the Dane, swallowed hard and shook his head.

"Nei, Herr Vargas…" and with that, he ran out of the room and Aksel followed. Several students gasped or giggled or chattered or any combination of the three as the teacher halfheartedly resumed the class.

Eirik had made his way to the men's bathroom and was hiding in a stall. What the heck had just happened? On any other day, he would've kept himself calm and composed but today… today was not his day. Maybe it was something in his coffee.

Aksel noisily banged his hand on the stall door, yelling at his Norwegian friend to come out. And when Eirik wouldn't budge? Aksel did the one thing that only Aksel would; he crawled under the door, and was greeted by a fist to the head. "What the hell're you doing?"

"Jus' wanted ta come see my buddy!" He grinned—oh, that grin. Wait, what was Eirik thinking? — and trapped the other in the already-cramped stall. "Why'd ya run?"

To be honest, Eirik couldn't figure out why he ran either. All he could tell was, judging by how close Aksel's face was getting and how fast it was moving, he was in trouble.

Their faces were now centimeters apart, Eirik's a bright pink while Aksel's remained colorless. "Eirik, Eirik, Eirik. If ya'd only believed me when I said I love ya." And with that, the gap was gone and their lips connected. The shorter blonde surprisingly had no objection to the other's sudden kiss and even kissed him back.

Suddenly, the day had taken a wonderful turn for the better.

Maybe it was something in his coffee.
