[Dissidia:FF] Smile [Warrior of Light/Cecil Harvey]

"…I don't even know my own name."

"Not to worry. It will come to you someday. And even if your past does not… you can still believe in the future. Right?"

'

He said that and smiled, so sudden, so sure

Time screeched to a halt at that smile, so pure

I looked at him, speechless, my heart failed to beat

He noticed my silence and made our eyes meet

'

I couldn't see anything else but his smile

Relief filled my body and went on for miles

A feeling of happiness I'd never known

I found in his smile, his smile that shone

'

That smile. So perfect, so natural and kind

It gently stole both my heart and my mind

I could have died happy then, battle be damned

That smile was worth all the war in the land

'

I don't think he knew what that one smile meant

One smile, his smile, and I was content

What mattered of things like my name and my past?

It was memories of him and his smile that would last

'

So slowly, so slowly, I shook off my trance

He looked at me then, with a half-worried glance

I nodded, and smiled so that all could see

That my smile was for him and his smile was for me

[A/N] WHAT WAS I THINKING.

UGH. I MUST REALLY BE A MASOCHIST.

In any case, I loved this scene, so, so much. Shade Impulse 27 for the American release. There was just that moment when Cecil smiled at WoL and... my heart melted. Seriously. I wanted to hug my PSP and take that adorable space bunny home with me. UGGAAAAA

Um, what else... This was originally going to be a fic, but I settled for poetry instead because THAT IS APPARENTLY A GENRE OF FANFICTION ACCEPTED BY FFnet. Who knew.I love poetry so much, and writing it is something I should be doing more, as a creative outlet... hence this.

Hope you, the reader, liked it. Thank you very much for reading.
