Flowers covered every surface and the scent of blossoms was heavy in the warm air. Corin stood to the side of an enormous flowering trellis at the end of a path leading back to Anvard's conservatory. It was a beautiful if warm day. The garden was full of humans and some creatures sitting in smiling rows upon the lawn. Some were on chairs, others standing or sitting on the ground, as size dictated. Soft music played as the pages gently pulled the satin aisle runner down the path, softly billowing as the air caught beneath it.
Cor stood at his side, beaming his smile down the aisle. King Lune stood at the ready under the trellis, book in hand. The music swelled and the crowd was on its feet as the conservatory doors opened and a beautiful bride floated down the satin walk on King Edmund's arm. How beautiful she was!
At the end of the aisle, Cor stepped forward to claim her hand and led her to stand before his father beneath the trellis.
"Dearly beloved," King Lune intoned, "we are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Prince Cor of Archenland to the Lady Aravis Tarkeena!"
A soft cheer echoed across the lawn as the Crown Prince married his Calormene bride under the trellis of Anvard and Corin soon found himself in possession of a sister.
