Susumu did not always go on mission disguised as a woman. Sometimes being masculine was just as useful.

They had been tracking Yagami for weeks. They could not go after the man in the name of the Shinsengumi, so assassination would have to be the way. It could not be so effortlessly achieved, though. Yagami was a careful man; his residence was virtually impenetrable, and he always had guards around him when he ventured out.

Except in a certain bathhouse. It was seemingly a prime and proper place; however, informed individuals would know how to obtain companions there. Yagami never touched a woman, but he had indulged in male company often enough.

Susumu approached the man when he was washing in preparation to going into the bath. Yagami slowed his motion as he became aware of Susumu, but did not react until Susumu touched his arm. He had one hand on the base of Susumu's skull as he kissed the ninja, trying to back Susumu towards the tub.

Susumu winded his fingers in Yagami's hair, pulling him back. He smiled coyly at the man, and leaned in as if to nuzzle Yagami's neck. The man did not suspect anything.

It was almost too easy, to position the razor blade hidden in his teeth and finish the job with a toss of his head. Yagami had not time to realise what was happening before his throat was split. The blood was everywhere, but in the bathing area with tile floor, the mess was cleaned quickly enough.

Susumu redressed Yagami, making sure to cover the fatal wound. He sat the corpse on a bench, manoeuvring his body to look as if he was dosing. He paused at the door, listening for the peaceful hum of activities in the surroundings for a moment, then quietly slipped out.

Another mission accomplished. Hijikata-san would be pleased with the news.
