Cho Chang, sleeping in the Ravenclaw girl's dormitory, tossed and turned in her bed. She couldn't sleep, and she didn't know why; she hadn't been able to for days. The Ravenclaw sighed and picked up her Charms textbook and started to read it. If she couldn't sleep, she may as well make good use of her time.
"Lumos," Cho whispered, holding her wand close to her. She pointed it at the book and sighed. She was tired, but she couldn't fall asleep.
"Cho, turn that off!" Cho's best friend, Marietta Edgecombe, half-yelled half-whispered at her. "I'm trying to sleep!"
"Mari, I can't sleep… I need to do something," Cho explained, placing the book on top of her blanket. "So I'm studying for Charms."
"Well, Cho, can you please go and sit in the Common Room?" Marietta grumbled, burying her head in her pillow.
"Yeah, whatever."
The tall girl stepped into her slippers and walked down to the Common room. It looked like it was empty, so Cho went and sat on one of the armchairs. It seemed there was someone there, a girl with long, wavy blonde hair. She was reading a magazine upside down.
"Hello, Luna," Cho said kindly, opening her charms book yet again.
"Oh, hello Cho," Luna beamed at her, "can't sleep either?"
"Nope."
"You may be in love, Cho."
"What?"
"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is better than your dreams"
Cho smiled inside, she knew she was in love. Then she felt a tinge of sadness. She knew she could never have him.
Because he was her teacher.
