"Alright is everyone ready? Were about to start assigning rooms." The teacher stood at the front of the group of teenagers. Everyone got quiet when they heard the part about her assigning rooms.
"Great, now everyone was allowed to pick who they wanted to share a room with and that rooms with a boy and a girl in them had to have consent with both people." She looked over at everyone. "So it everyone ready to hear where they will be staying?"
This got a big cheer from the audience and she started down the hall. The class was a class at Kingdom High, and the entire junior class was taking a week-long trip to Disney Land. Of course there were educational points but all that everyone cared about was going to Disney Land. Zexion hung out at the back of the group, slowly making his way after everyone else. He could just make out the teacher giving his friends their rooms.
"Alright room number 1, Sora and Kairi."
"Room 2, Riku and Namine"
"Room three, Axel and Roxas" This pair got cheers from one side and groans from another. Everyone knew that Axel kept hitting on Roxas but Roxas just didn't want anything to do with Axel. Roxas went into the room, grumbling after the red head.
"Room four, Hayner and Olette"
"Room five, Zexion and Demyx"
Zexion looked up when his name was called and quickly went into his room, not bothering to check who his roommate was. He flinched though when a familiar name called him.
"Oi! Hey sexy Zexy" Demyx said as he closed the door behind him.
"Don't call me that" Zexion snapped.
Zexion finished unpacking quickly, putting his clothes away. Demyx watched him from across the room, not moving. As soon as he was done Zexion left the room, heading upstairs. Zexion quickly reached the roof, and stood on the ledge. It was snowing, very heavily. Zexion brushed some off the ledge and sat down, bringing his knees to his chest.
Zexion sat up there for a while, the snow didn't bother him, even when it started to get dark. The snow started to clear up after it got dark, but Zexion still sat in the edge.
The sunset was just barely visible through the quickly thinning clouds. Zexion heard footsteps behind him, and he turned around. It was Demyx.
"You know you're gonna catch a cold out here." He said
No response.
"Why don't you ever talk to me Zexion?" he tried again.
"I…I just don't know" Zexion whispered.
Demyx sat down next to him and they watched the sun set. Even after the sun set they still sat together and watched the stars.
"Demyx, why do you always try to be my friend?" Zexion asked. They had gone back to their room after watching the stars for a while, now they were just trying to get warm from being outside in the snow for so long.
"Cause I've always liked you" Demyx said without thinking. Zexion stared at him for a second, then came forward and lightly kissed his lips.
"Good thing I've always liked you to" He said
Needless to say they weren't the only couple to get together that night.
