Author's Notes: It seems I've unintentionally written another holiday story even though it's a little late. I wrote this on a whim, and I don't really think it's that good, but my girlfriend liked it and nagged me to post it :P. Anyway, enjoy and tell me what you think
Disclaimer: You can safely assume, I am not the wonderful Naoko Takeuchi, and I do not own Haruka and Michiru. If I did do you really think I would be posting my ideas on fanfic? :P

Neptune's knees sunk deep into the frigid December snow as her body finally gave into exhaustion. A fatal blast of Deep Submerge and World Shaking, done in unison, had finished off the two outer senshi's latest foe.
Uranus was laying barley propped up on her elbows, head hanging back, panting little puffs of air that swirled in the crisp night sky. Their uniforms were tattered, sweat lined their brows, and the toll of battle lingered on forlorn, yet relieved, faces.
Finally giving into her pride, Uranus huffed and fell back into the snow with a sigh. A comfortable silence fell between the pair. The senshi of Neptune gazed up at the hazy night sky as snow began to fall again. The world seemed completely silent, as if the two were the last people on earth.
The aqua-haired senshi's mind was racing with all the memories of past battles, as it often did. Pondering her fate, let alone the world's fate, seemed a strange hobby for any other sixteen year-old, but it had become commonplace for Michiru. Had someone told her that this was her destiny just a few short years ago, she would have laughed in their face.
A wiry grin spread over the blonde senshi's face, and she turned on her side, taking the smaller girl's hand in hers. Michiru looked at her partner quizzically as she was jolted from her thoughts.
"Merry Christmas, Michi."
Michiru crawled over, snuggling into Haruka's embrace. She was warm although everything else around them bore the biting coldness typical in the dead of winter.
"Merry Christmas, Ruka."
