The woman swung the blade, splattering blood on the pendent. She sneered once again she had made a mess. She looked at the person beneath her.
Once called the Mad Hatter he had merely gotten in the way. This insanity had started with the Red Queen. The rush that she had felt driving the sword through the monarch's neck was unspeakably exotic. She wanted to feel the rush again. Taking the bloodied sword, she created a bloodbath known for millennia, or so it would've been had she not stopped history from happening ever again.
She looked at the forest before her. She smirked. It was dark, plenty of prey hiding in the shadows. A white line went into the forest.
"Follow the white line." Her hoarse broken voice rang through the dead air. She stepped onto the white line and followed it into the forest.
Oh she would be remembered. Oh yes, by the few who escaped her paths of blood.
