Here's my Kane Chronicles one shot! Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I don't want to!
To bad!
Fine! I don't own the Kane Chronicles
Ah yes…sorry if this reminds you of the dance during the Serpent's Shadow, but I'm gonna take that and twist it up a little, it'll probably have the same characters, but oh well.
Sadie's POV
Carter didn't want to go to the dance, fine by me but he was definitely missing out! Walt didn't feel like going, probably because he's a smart guy, and knows that Anubis will show up. Don't blame me for hoping! So what? I have a crush on a beautiful, handsome, gorgeous god—that's not the point! Walt didn't like him, because Anubis and I had shared kiss behind a church, when I was running from my gran and gramps (Long story). Anyway, there was a dance at the school where me, and some of the other trainees went for regular contact, and education. Of course, we had to go! Now we were here, and I was wearing a black dress, with silver sparkly dips (I don't know what to call them) on the skirt part, with my hair down and some black flats. Basically it was prom, no it was Prom and I didn't have a date! Oh well, maybe some one will ask me to dance!
When I got there, Drew and her gang found me right away, Drew was wearing a short, plain dress, and her minions were wearing plain, long black dresses, and high heels(?) drew started to make fun of me, "Where's Walt, I thought you were coming with him! Was he to embarrassed by your face to show his with you! *Laugh Laugh, Chuckle Chuckle*"
"No, actually he is…..sick" I retorted, just then Drew, Cecelia, and Molly's jaws dropped, and I heard the voice of a very, very handsome god behind me.
"Sadie, would you like to dance?" Anubis asked.
I meant to say something all intelligent like 'sure' but it came out "Ah-Sa" With a nod of my head.
He led me out to the dance floor, leaving Drew and her gang string at us, until their dates came and invited them to dance.
"So, why'd you decide to show up at my prom?" I asked Anubis.
"Well, I saw that you didn't have a date, and I did promise to see you in person, so I decided to come here, and dance"
"Well, thanks! I'm glad you came!" I said, I was luckily able to speak in full sentences, it was amazing, considering how he surprised be like that.
"Well I came here, to tell you—" He got no chance to finish his sentence.
The wind was blowing.
If you've read The Serpent's Shadow, you know what happens next!
