Intro
"Well, well, well my dear. Don't we seem to be in an oh-so-hopeless situation?" mocked an all too familiar voice.
Starfire was strapped onto an ugly steel table. Tameraneun curses ran through her mind but she kept them to herself, not knowing who her kidnapper was. For all she knew Slade could be in those shadows. But she knew that he wasn't. Starfire knew that to Slade this would be considered 'low', kidnapping a beautiful girl with no reason. But whoever 'it' was 'it' was sounding quite calm, if not bemused by her situation.
"How long do you plan on keeping me here?" Starfire asked timidly being careful to filter all the uncensored curses running through her brain.
"Only as long as it takes. I was wrong about you Starfreak, you aren't useless at all. In fact, there is no other person that fits the job description. You are unique, Starwater, one of a kind. A characteristic I failed to see the last time we met."
Starfire was utterly confused. Obviously this person knew her and they had met before, but who was it? She knew now that it wasn't Slade. What about Red X? Starfire knew too well that Robin had portrayed the sneaky criminal before but there was another. It couldn't be him. He had saved us all from a big laser not too long ago. So who could it be? The question still lingered in her mind as the stranger continued to speak.
"If it weren't for you, there would be no way to lure him to me. No possible way he would ever want to see me again."
"Who are you planning to.... 'lure'?" Starfire questioned with a little more authority.
"Why, how touching for you to ask. But even if I told you, you couldn't stop me. At last, at long last, we will be together. Me and my precious Robby Pooh."
Suddenly everything clicked in Starfire's memory and she knew who was holding her captive. She remembered too well the night when she and Robin stood breathless in front of the T.V. and when she had asked Robin, "Robin, who is this girl and why does she call you 'pooh'?"
