As they fought to the death, there was no stopping them. For Naruto, a kunai in one hand, a shuriken in the other. For Sasuke, all he needed was a katana. Sound of metal clashing echoed in the castle. Both were out of breath, but would not give up in front of the other. Mind focused only on one thing: To Kill.
As Sasuke plunged at Naruto with all his strength, the katana was stuck in the middle of the shuriken. No, it wasn't. It went straight through Naruto's left hand. Pushing downward on his hand, he slowly reached Sasuke. His eyes red, filled with chakra he clutched his hand on the handle of the sword, swiped it out of Sasuke's hand, and threw it all the way across the room. His hand started steaming. Inch by inch, the wound started to heal. As Sasuke stared in amazement, a right hand caught him rite in the jaw. The punch pushed him back ten feet. Not enough to knock him down though.
"One last chance." they both said aloud. As Sasuke ignited his Chidori, Naruto wound together his Rasengan. The ran towards each other at full speed. One had to die, if not both. As the two powers collided, bones were crunching, and someone was gasping for air. When the smoke cleared away there stood Sakura, their bubblegum haired teammate, right in the middle of them. Both hands through her torso. Both hands drenched with blood.
"No more fighting" were her last words. Her eyes shut, and her corpse slumped over, she was feeling cold. Sasuke and Naruto looked at each other, square in the eyes. They knew what they had to do. Eyes were swelling up with tears. With one last strand of friendship they had, the pushed with all their force, impaling one another. As all three of them plummeted down, as smiled seeped through Sasuke's face. They died as a team, reviving their friendship.
A few days later, their funeral was being held. All of Konoha was there to see if it was true. The great Naruto had finally died. Sasuke was even being buried in Konoha. They had all forgave him. In the end he came as a true friend. Lady Tsunade, the fifth hokage, cam up to Naruto's grave.
"All of you in Konoha knew Naruto's dream. To be hokage was all he ever wished for. I am here to grant Naruto's only wish. From this day forward, even though he died, he has been granted sixth hokage. He died in battle saving his village, just like all the hokage's before him. The only sad thing is that he isn't here to accept his leadership. He was an amazing boy and deserved the title of hokage. All hail Naruto Uzumaki! The Sixth Hokage!"
Everyone cheered as the rain came down. Naruto was crying, crying from happiness that his dream came true. He was there with all of the Hokage's, Sakura, and Sasuke looking down upon Konoha. Sasuke looked at Naruto, and smiled. They were team seven again.
