Feathers
This story is dedicated Stephenie Meyer for taking me into the twilight world. Characters belong to her. I only make them do what I wanna do. But thank you Stephenie Meyer. So much!
Epilogue
"Why am I covered in feathers?" I asked, confused. He exhaled impatiently. "I bit a pillow. Or two. " I smiled. "Why are you smiling, Bella?" I looked over at him. He looked confused, and a little bit ashamed. He was angry at himself. I could see that much. "What's wrong?" I asked him. My voice wasn't very loud but I knew he was able to hear it. He looked at me in disbelief. "Don't pretend it doesn't hurt, Bella. Don't pretend that you don't think I'm…. bad. " Now I was the one to be looking at him in disbelief. He looked me in the eye for a split second. "I don't get it. Why exactly would I think you are bad? I wouldn't marry a bad guy." He was silent for a moment. Then he stood so fast that I couldn't register it. He looked me dead in the eye, and he didn't seem to look away. "Look at yourself, Bella. Tell me why I'm not a bad person, if I make bruises on you?" His voice was gentler than the fierce look in his face. I looked down at myself, than slowly began to rise, taking the quilt with me. I looked back at him. "It doesn't hurt. Last night, was the absolutely best night in my life." While I said it, I looked him in the eyes. "Trust me. The best night. In, my, life!" We were silent for a moment - only my breathing could be heard, only looking in each other eyes. I don't know how long we had been standing there, when he took me into his arms and kissed the top of my head. "Oh, love." He began to release me from his arms so that he could look me in the eyes. The smile that shined from his face was more beautiful than anything I had ever seen before. He kissed my lips and I kissed him back. Nothing could ever separate us, only death. But death would never come. That much I knew. We would always live, just how I wanted it. He laid his forehead against mine after our kiss, and released a breath over my face. I willingly inhaled the sweetness of it. "I love you, Bella. You are everything. Without you by my side, I know that I could not live." He whispered, only loud enough for me to hear. I couldn't help but smile. We looked each other in the eyes, and I fell in love with him all over again. A tear rolled down my cheek but I took no notice of it. I was content and happy. I was safe. Right here in his arm. My Edward.
