Nighttime with the Reids
At 6:00 that night, Spencer opened the door and was immediately met with his daughter running to him.
Ava was happy that her daddy was home. Even though she loved her mommy she was a total daddy's girl.
"Hey there, Ladybug how was your day." Spencer asked he picked up his daughter.
"Well, Mommy and me played with my toys and then she made my pb&j for lunchies and then I took a nappy and then we watched Dora the Expoerer on Nickelodeon. " Ava seemed to say what they did in about 20 seconds.
"Hello there, Mr. Genius how was your day?" Lila came over to her husband and their little girl and gave him a kiss.
"EWWW! Mommy Daddy is a boy." Ava giggled.
"Ava baby, you'll think boys won't be so bad in a few years." Lila told Ava.
Ava made a face in disgust.
"No I's won't Daddy is the only boy I love cuz he's my Daddy." Ava told her mother in a 'duh' tone.
"That's right Daddy is the only boy you should like or love because boys are gross aren't they?" Spencer began to kiss her rosy cheek and Ava laughed.
"Dinner is almost ready. We're having macoroni and cheese Miss Ava requested it, after her nap." Lila told her husband.
After dinner Spencer and Lila decided to let Ava pick whatever movie they watch tonight since tomorrow was Saturday and he didn't have to work in the morning.
"Daddy can we watch Enchanted, pwease?" Ava asked Spencer in his arms.
"Of course, ladybug. Princess Giselle awaits to be seen."
Spencer put the movie and had Ava on his lap when the movie started.
"Mommy were watching Enchanted, come in here pwease."
Lila came out of the bathroom with something in her hands. It was a pregnancy test. Spencer saw this and smiled. Lila come to sit down next to her husband and Ava.
"We're having a baby!"
Ava turned her head, expecting to see a baby.
"Daddy where's the baby?"
Both Spencer and Lila laughed and Ava just looked confused.
"Ladybug, the baby is in Mommy's tummy. It has to grow for 40 weeks that's 9 months away baby." Spencer told his daughter.
Ava giggled and patted her Mommy's tummy. "Mommy is my wittle sissy or brother in there?"
"Yes baby. Are you excited?"
Ava nodded. "Daddy can we watch the movie now, pwease?"
"Of course, Ladybug."
For an hour in a half Ava was sucked into the story of Princess Giselle and her adventures in New York City. Spencer and Lila were cuddling and kissing occasionally.
"Daddy I'm tiwed bed time soon?"
"Yes… do you want me to read to you?"
"Yes pwease." Ava yawned.
Spencer picked Ava up and put her into her pink princess room. Spencer read to her a fairytale in her disney book. The fairytale was a story about Princess Belle and her life with the Beast. When Spencer was finished Ava was almost asleep.
"Goodnight, Ava Elizabeth, I love you." He kissed her forehead.
"I wuv you too Daddy." Ava gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Lila came into the room and gave Ava her goodnight kiss.
"Good night baby, Mommy loves you." Lila kissed her forehead.
"Wuv you too, Mommy." Ava kissed her cheek also.
Spencer and Lila went into the hallway to their bedroom to celebrate the new addition to the family with love and tender care.
