Hey guys so this is my first fanfic ever. If there's anything wrong, editing wise, please let me know! I'm used to writing major segments or like chapters, so they may be a little short at first. But I promise you, as I improve I will make these chapters longer. But for now, please bear with me and enjoy! :)

Ruby listened carefully to the sounds surrounding her.
"It's quiet…" she whispered to herself in the darkness.
It's been three days since Team RWBY's hunt, and they were finally heading home. They decided to camp out for the last night and Ruby had taken the first watch, while her teammates lay on their sleeping bags and rested. She looked over to her left side and saw that Blake has manage to sneak into Yang's sleeping bag…again.
"I should really ask about those two," inquired Ruby with a little smirk on her face.
"But then they'll ask about us."
Ruby looked down to the head sleeping near her right leg, and saw a pair of light blue eyes look back at her.
"Weiss, you're awake. You okay?" asked Ruby, leaning down and giving her "not-so-secret-girlfriend" a peck on the lips.
"Ruby, the whole school probably knows about Yang and Blake as much as they know about us." Weiss sat up and laid her head onto to Ruby's shoulder.
"That's true. I'm surprise the rumors haven't reached your father yet." A chill went down Ruby's spine as she said that. Weiss's father wasn't the most understanding of men, according to Weiss. More of a control-freak or dictator than an actual father to Weiss.
"It doesn't matter. He means nothing to me." Weiss replied harshly.
"I guess so." Ruby simply replied. She turned her head towards Weiss, now their faces inches apart. Ruby cups Weiss's face with her hand and slowly brings their lips together.
"I love you." said Ruby shortly after they break. Weiss smiled and slowly came closer, but stopped.
"What's – "started Ruby, but Weiss quickly put a finger to her mouth.
"Shh, something's wrong. I sense something." whispered Weiss. She slowly took out Myrtenaster, and Ruby did the same with Crescent Rose. They both rose from their spots, and Ruby went to wake Yang and Blake.
"Nmph…Ruby what's – "started Yang, but Ruby quickly shushed her. Blake's faunus ears perked up and she quickly got her Gambol Shroud ready as did Yang with her Ember Celica.
As Team RWBY stood back to back with each other, red eyes started to appear in the darkness.
"Beowolves by the looks of them." Said Weiss. The first beowolf to attack was quickly sliced down by Crescent Rose.
"Welp might as well, kill these guys off real quick." Yang said and started attacking, punching and shooting any beowolf that came her way. Ruby, Weiss, and Blake nodded at each other and started doing the same at their directions.
Ruby felt the battle was almost ending but then Blake's ears perked up again.
"Guys we've got company." Blake yelled as she finished the last of the beowolves in her area. Team RWBY regrouped back at their campsite and heard a loud screeching noise from the darkness of the trees.
"We should go…" Weiss stated as loud stomps came closer and closer to them. Team RWBY quickly headed in the direction of Vale. Ruby glances back to see what was chasing them.
"Shit…guys let's move!" commanded Ruby, and everyone started moving faster, but whatever was chasing them was catching up. Suddenly, a tree was launched in front of them and Team RWBY made a complete stop. They turned around and saw a massive Ursa come from the darkness. And boy…did it looked pissed.
"Well, I guess we have to fight now." Said Yang getting her weapons ready. Just then another Ursa comes out beside the first Ursa.
"Well aren't we in doosy…Yang, Blake, take the first one. Me and Weiss got the other one."
"Right!" yelled both Yang and Blake and started attacking their Ursa.
"We got this Weiss." Encourage Ruby with Crescent Rose in scythe form.
"Agreed." Weiss said simply, getting Myrtenaster ready.
As the Ursa charges, both Weiss and Ruby propels themselves up, dodging the grimm. While in the air, Ruby starts shooting as Weiss creates several glyphs to increase Ruby's bullet strength. The Ursa is stunned but is not dead. As Ruby and Weiss land, the Ursa charges again. Ruby quickly pushes Weiss out of the way and attacks with Crescent Rose. Weiss gets up again, and starts using her blue dust to slow down the beast. Ruby then attacks again, and finally the beast falls after trying to swipe at Ruby one last time.
"Well that was troublesome. You okay, Weiss?" Ruby says walking fairly close to dead Ursa.
"I'm fine. Thanks for saving me." Ruby smiles and gives a peck on Weiss's lips, making Weiss blush.
"Come on, let's go see Yang- "
"RUBY!" shriek Weiss. The "dead" Ursa made one final attack and before Weiss's eyes stood Ruby, with an Ursa claw right through her body. Weiss quickly pulls Ruby from the claws and collapses to the ground with Ruby in her arms. Yang and Blake quickly run over to the scene.
"Weiss, what hap- " Yang sees her sister's body and goes into complete shock. Tears start to form in Yang's eyes.
"YANG! WEISS! WE NEED TO GET TO VALE, RUBY NEEDS TO GET TO A HOSPITAL!" yelled Blake, hoping that they'll snap out of it. Luckily they did, and Team RWBY headed quickly to Vale, with a half-alive Ruby in Yang's arms.
