Author's Note: As all of you know, Five Nights At Freddy's is a pretty big thing right now. As such, a LOT of fanfics have sprung up about it. Some of them I have read and still follow. One of these fanfics is an MLP:FIM/FNAF crossover entitled "Rainbow Dash's Five Nights At Freddy's". I think I'll let you all be the judge of what that story entails. Anyway, a thought popped into my head one day of how I think the story could have ended, and something else grew from there. I thought I should make it follow as much of the original as I could while still making my own diversions. I only hope this story doesn't get pulled for copyright infringement, or that the original author takes any offense. Either way, here is my ending to the fic this is for.
Rainbow Dash's Five Nights At Freddy's Alternate Ending
By: James Porter
Griff turned around to look at the other six, but his eyes were on Rainbow Dash. "Well, I can officially say that your debts have been payed, Ms. Rainbow Dash," he began "You don't owe me a cent anymore."
Dash rolled her eyes when he brought that up. "Will you stop that?" She told him. "It's over and done with."
Griff chuckled. "As you wish... but before I forget, let me give you something... If you'll accept it."
Rainbow Dash blinked. "What is it?"
He reached into his coat, then pulled out a small box with his magic, letting it hover in front of her face. "That... is a secret."
She slowly took the box into her hooves. "Uh... thanks."
Griff nodded and then turned his attention to the other five, giving them a brief bow and smile. "Once again, thank you for your help, ladies. I truly am privileged to meet such mares as yourself... and in no way do I mean disrespect by that statement. You have my eternal gratitude."
With that, his horn suddenly flashed and he teleported away.
Everypony just stared at the spot where he had stood for a moment, then Rarity spoke.
"Well, at least he was a true gentlecolt throughout." she respectfully noted.
The five of them then gathered around Rainbow Dash, who was now staring at the box.
"What do ya think it is, Rainbow?" Applejack asked her.
Dash shrugged. "I don't know." She then gave the box an experimental shake.
"Well, open it up, silly!" Pinkie told her. "Let's see it!"
An unspoken feeling of agreement was among them. Dash tore open the lid and slowly reached inside, grasping whatever was inside.
"It feels pretty soft." she admitted, then pulled it out.
Everypony blinked, but it was Twilight who spoke. "Is that...?"
It was a plush doll in Foxy's likeness. The doll stared back at the six with big round eyes, one of which was obscured by an eye patch brought down over it. All of the mares stared at the doll, though none as hard as Rainbow Dash.
She thought back to all of their talks and how he kept helping her, even to the end. Her only true companion in those hours.
Despite herself, Dash felt a smile twitch across her face.
"Um, Rainbow Dash... You're crying."
Rainbow Dash blinkedd at Fluttershy's words, quickly bringing a hoof to her face and coming away with wet spots.
"You alright, Sugarcube?" Applejack asked her, the others flashing her looks of concern.
Dash quickly shook her head, putting on a smile. "Of course! I'm fine, totally fine! ...Just some dust is all.".
The five didn't look like they bought it for a blind second, but they didn't push the issue, something she was grateful for. Instead, Twilight put a hoof on her shoulder.
"Let's go home, Rianbow."
Dash looked down at the doll in her grip, then put it back in the box. She left for a moment.
"Yeah, let's."
And with that, the six of them walked away respectfully, not once looking back.
Night time (Rainbow Dash's house)
Rainbow Dash stared at her bed. She couldn't quite explain it, but it actually felt weird to her that she was about to go to sleep at night. Seemed after four nights fighting for her life against three killer magic dolls that were haunted by the revenge-seeking spirits of murdered foals, she had actually gotten used to being up all night long. She certainly hoped she would be able to sleep at all tonight.
Rainbow then turned her gaze down to the Foxy doll in her hoof. She smiled at it as she remembered her friend from the pizzeria. She recalled the times he would come to her aid, tackling Bonnie in the hallway, pinning both Bonnie and Chica under chairs and tables in the dining area, the conversations she would have with them before and after her shifts (as one-sided as most of them were anyway), and finally what he did to keep Golden Freddy distracted so she and the others could use their Rainbow Beam.
She would miss that fox, that much was for sure. But she hoped that, wherever his spirit ended up, he was happy.
Her gaze went back up to her bed. She then walked over to it and lay the doll down on it. She had asked Twilight to place a cloud-walking spell on the doll so it wouldn't fall through her bed when she set it down. The spell kept the doll laying on the bed, its head rested on the cloud pillow.
Rainbow Dash looked down at the doll, her smile not leaving her face.
"Goodnight, Foxy." She said.
Rainbow Dash then climbed into bed. She held the doll close as her eyes closed. It certainly did take a little bit, but Rainbow Dash managed to all asleep.
If Rainbow Dash had been awake any longer, she would have seen the Foxy doll turn over and snuggle into her, smiling. She also would have heard it speak in Foxy's voice.
"G'night, Rainbow Dash."
The End.
Well, there's my alternate ending to X The Reaper's story. Hope you like it. I also hope he takes no offense to my using his story (even if he dd give me the okay. I just want to make doubly sure that he's cool with it.).
