Disclaimer: I don't own Newsies but they are my puppets and sex toys on
weekends!
A/N: This story is a spur of the moment story which popped into my head as
I was listening to the 'Prince of Egypt" soundtrack on my computer after
school. So if it turns out crappy I've warned you.
"A Kat's Angel"
~*~*~
"Well this is it." A short girl with long wavy brown hair said, putting her suitcase down she placed the crumpled piece of paper back into her coat pocket. She let go of the tiny hand she was holding and knelt beside the little girl. Kneeling on the wet pavement, she carefully tucked a tiny blonde curl behind the girl's ear then picked her up and balanced her on a hip. Grabbing her own suitcase she walked up the few steps to the landing. "Now remember don't scream and run around and please," she paused to knock on the door, "remember to behave like a young lady!" As she waited for the owner, she glanced around the street. Although it was starting to rain, several people still crowded the streets taking in the cool autumn air. The door opened revealing a boy whose suspenders were hanging from his waist and dangling beside him.
"Whaddya want?" He asked as he glanced from the girl to the younger one in her arms.
"Hi, I'm sorry but I need to ask you a favor." She started but he knew where this was going.
"Oh no, I don't look after kids, nor do I like them! So you'll have to ask someone else." He started to close the door but she stopped him,
"Please, you're all she has left."
"Whaddya mean I'm all she's got left?" He opened the door a little more and leaned against the doorframe.
"She's your daughter."
