CHAPTER ONE

The first day of school is always nerve racking and very exciting, especially when you good friends to go with. On my way to Manview high school, I stop and pick of one of my best friends Marcie Nothgrove. I haven't live in Hawthorne very long, I've lived here since the middle of sophomore year and I'm a junior now. At school were not the coolest on the block but we manage. I stop at Marcie's house and she hops in the car giving me a stern look as appose to what you are wearing. "What?" I studded out "nothing you just look different that's all, maybe the summer has warmed you up a bit, eh?"She laughed too loud for such a bad joke. "I don't know what your talking about, I look the same as the first day" I said sarcastically, I knew I looked different. The first couple weeks I wouldn't get out of the sweater my ex boyfriend bought me. I parked in the space I parked in last year on my first day, such strange déjà vu. I get out the car looking over a Marcie. "Let's go meet up with Stephanie and Luke" I said nonchalantly. "Okay" she said. We met up with Luke and Stephanie who happen to be my other friends here. We all say our hello's and start walking to the schedule board were we would all learn are classes and head to them so we would not be late. I have calculus first, which almost makes me sick to my stomach when I see Mr. Mali's is my teacher. He is an alcoholic who has a lot of personal home issues. Me and my friends break away from each other, we don't have any classes together because I take all AP classes.

I go to my seat and sit in it; reaching in my pocket for my iPod I turn it on and start listening to some mixed things Stephanie threw together. Mr. Mali is going through the attendance before the bell rings trying to get everyone's names memorized so he wouldn't get laughed at for saying them wrong. While everyone is starting to file in the room gets louder. I realized Ashlee and Nick are in this class, the two people in the school I can't stand have to be in my morning class. I think to myself 'it's going to be a long year'. I crank my iPod up louder when the bell rings, and Mr. Mali's is reading out names when the door opens and I really didn't look up to see who it was because frankly I didn't care. I laid my head down on the desk and when I got up something strange happened. I turned off my iPod and there was a mass amount of noise in my head, I thought I had a headache but I don't think it the case. The bell rang and I sprang up from my seat and headed straight for lunch, then the noise stopped and I didn't think anything of it the rest of the day. Stephanie and Marcie were practically jumping down my throat about some new guy at school named Anthony Mark and he was supposed to be gorgeous beyond belief. I honestly wasn't paying attention to anything they said.

It was the end of the day and me and Marcie hopped in the car "LAYLA!" she shouted, "there he is over there look now's your chance!" she screamed just a little too loud for my taste.

I followed her finger to wear she was pointing and as soon as I saw were she was pointing and I stared into his eyes. I started hearing voices it sounded like Marcie then I realized I was in her head 'she better not start liking him, because he's mine, he would never go for someone like her anyway.' I didn't know what was going on, but ever since this new guy came to Man View my life has turned upside down.

It's short, I know but chapter two is on its way! :) its going to get better trust me.
