Disclaimer: I do not own Howl, Sophie, or anything really…not even this computer. sob Oh well!
Sophie Hatter rolled over in the bed, sleep dulling her senses. So, when she smacked into another warm body in the bed, she cuddled up to it and went right back to sleep. However, the other occupant opened his eyes and smirked, eyeing the young woman wrapped around him. Howl Jenkins had never been so proud of himself. "Sophie," he called quietly, petting her hair away from her face. "It's time to get up." Leaning down, he brushed a kiss on each of her cheeks before easing her onto her back.
"What?" she murmured, arms reaching out instinctively to hug him to her once again. Yawning into his neck, she gave a little purr of contentment as Howl wrapped his arms around her waist, setting them both up. "Don't go," she pouted, before waking up completely…and screaming. "HOWL! GET OUT!" she yelled, pushing him away and, conveinently, over the side of the bed.
"Sophie, dear, calm down and let me explia--" he started, only to stop when his love smacked him upside the head with a pillow.
"Why am I up here, instead of downstairs in my bed!" she demanded, leaning over the side of the bed to glare at him.
"Well, you see, dear, during the course of the night, this disturbing breeze found my toes and, freezing, I just couldn't sleep without something warm nearby…." He rambled.
"Howl," she warned.
"….and I really, really missed you," he finally finished, obviously proud of himself.
"Really?" Sophie asked, cheeks blazing.
"Yeah, really," Howl told her, standing up beside the bed. "Can I get back in now? It's cold out here!"
Author's Note:: Sorry if it's too short, etc.. I have only seen the movie, haven't gotten the book yet, so those characters are the only way I know them. Howl's voice…..ahh. Anyway, review!
