I gazed around at the distant dead figures that covered the streets. I saw my younger brother, his clothes drenched in blood. His eyes had rolled to the back of his head and his mouth hung open due to the breaking of his jaw. I writhed as another wave of pain settled through my body. I whimpered quietly, hoping for some sign of help to emerge from the depths of the dead city. Somewhere, I could hear the faint wailing of a baby and it's sudden, abrupt silence that followed. I winced, imagining the cause of the child's death. How could I have been so stupid as to let him wish upon the Shikon No Tama to become a full-fledged demon?! I closed my eyes as the stinging tears pushed their way down my cheeks, staining my dirt-infested face. A soft chuckling sounded behind me and I saw the man that had performed the mass murder. His blood red eyes were focused solely on me, although his pupils had long since disappeared. He flexed his hands as he stepped around the bodies towards me. His silver hair was a mess and drenched in different shades of dried blood. He plunged his hands roughly into my back and I could feel the warm gushing of fresh blood flow from my body. It surrounded me and I watched in horror as he brought my blood to his lips and run his tongue along his knuckles. He sighed in satisfaction and parted me a due before my heavy eyelids slipped closed. Forever.
