Disclaimer: Don't own Harry Potter, wish I did.
A/N: Just something I wrote the other day when I was supposed to be finishing up a history essay. Read and reveiw if you like. Hopefully you'll enjoy.
"Aww but Lily, that was plan Y!" I whined. "Why can't you just go out with me already, I'm running out of letters here."
Lily just turned around and smirked at me, her emerald eyes shining, "Nice try Potter," she said before hurrying after Severus on his way to the hospital wing.
I sighed. That was number 25. The 25th time she had rejected me. I couldn't believe it. Hell, I couldn't believe it every time, but this one just took the cake.
So there I was, waiting at the bottom of the stairs for Sirius to perform a tripping charm. And then Lily would fall gracefully into the arms of her beloved hero, me. She would be in such shock that she would immediately profess her undying love for me, and then we would spend the rest of the day making out.
OK. So that one was a little far fetched. It still might have worked if that stupid git Severus hadn't rushed up to Lily's side an instant before Sirius shot the spell. Then it wouldn't have been Severus who fell on top of me and pushed to the ground, it would have been Lily. And in that case she wouldn't have been laughing either.
But she was. Everyone was laughing at me as a struggled to push Severus off me, and noticed that I was still holding the bundle of flowers that I was supposed to give to Lily. Shit.
And man that greasy git was heavy. Why wouldn't he move? I pushed and shoved, but he just lay there like a rag doll. "A little help here!" I cried as I tried yet again to push the kid off of me.
I tried to reach my wand but it was stuck in the back pocket of my jeans. The crowd around us was now thicker than ever. I heard a few wolf whistles in their midst, but I was a bit too occupied to care. This kid was heavy and it hurt. "Move Dammit!" I growled.
And that's when I noticed that there was something wrong with Severus. The idiot was swelling up like a ballon. He was all red and hives had starting sprouting all over his face. What the-
"Potter!" I heard Lily cry. My heart skipped a beat. Perhaps she was concerned for me.
"Mhhhump." I tried to for a coherent sentence but my face was pressed into my bouquet of flowers.
"Ditch the flowers!"
What?
"He's allergic you idiot!" yelled Lily. I heard her sigh audibly and push her way into the front of the crowd. Within moments the bouquet had vanished and I looked up to see a livid Lily pointing her wand at my face. "Go out with me?" I tried sheepishly.
