Chapter 1- The Sicarius, Nympha

Hidden away in the bustle of Kyoto sat a family run cafe, had sitting outside during the favorable seasons and sitting inside for the chilling seasons. Outside was the preferred sitting for one individual regardless of the seasons, since she was a regular sitting quietly tucked away under an umbrella. Dainty fingers flitting across the keyboard of a laptop putting the finishing touches to an email, checking for any flaws she tried to figure how to end the email indecisiveness grated on her nerves eying the message. After much internal debate she ended it on an informal but respectful manner.

Sending the message her attention was drawn to the recently update history book she had acquired, the book in her mind was somewhat accurate right up to the part about the Shikon no Tama then it went to hell in a hand basket.

Her thoughts drifted off to the true history of the cursed jewel; the suffering, the deaths and the torment it brought for even existing.

She always did ponder what actually became of the jewel and its guardian..

'Kagome...' she thought sincerely. The miko brought warmth to any and all she came in contact with, her heart ached remembering those final moments..

******************************* Flashback 500 years ago***************************

The barrier surrounding their foe had fallen to the power of the Red Tetsusaiga, it had been tormenting and tiring just trying to get a clear path for the Inu Hanyou. Wave after wave of unrelenting youkai came at them.

As the barrier broke a brilliant blue what look like to be a shooting star flew through the opening hitting the foul spider hanyou the screech of defeat and agony could be heard over the slaughtering of youkai.

All stood still watching as something glowing a purple so dark it could be black before any could make a race for the jewel, it flew to the treasure they were all guarding with their lives, a young miko known as Kagome. As quickly as it went to her, she disappeared with the jewel.

Many mourned but soon like most mortals they moved forward with their lives while the youkai left to their respectful places. The Daiyoukai, Sesshomaru went back to the west, Kouga returned to the East making good on his promise to Ayame... the younger brother of Sesshomaru, the inu hanyou, Inuyasha stayed behind in the Inuyasha forest guarding the villages in his area. Not much was said about the kit, Shippo after the wedding of the monk, Miroku and slayer, Sango. He just disappeared, some rumors mentioned him making a name for himself, but she wasn't one for rumors.

And well she just disappeared into the unknown not quite welcomed in the Southern regions of Japan. Now here she is 500 years later back in what was once Inuyasha's forest now known as Kyoto..

Ding!

A message appeared on her computer screen catching her attention quickly, having to re-read it unbelieving of who it was from.

"Dear Nympha

I know it has been sometime since we last saw each other.."

"yeah sometime.. pft try 500 years ago." voice dripping in sarcasm at his wording, but decided to keep reading.

"I know this isn't the best way to try fixing our relationship but I wish to try. You were always on my mind and I regret following the words of a woman bitter with revenge over yours, My birthday is coming all the cardinal lords and regional youkai lords are coming, I do hope you will come...

Sincerely Viktor Ryuu-Clipse"

SaffireRebel – well I am not sure which direction I am going to go with this story, but with all great things it was inspired by music. Kagome is in the next chapter, but other then that it is a surprise! Have a nice night readers!
