The life of a Jedi – 21BBY
Obi-Wan Kenobi got out of his bed in the Jedi Temple. He glanced at his sleeping Padawan, then headed out to the council room, where he had been summoned.
"…This is very important, so collect Anakin and go immediately." Mace Windu finished, looking at the Jedi sternly. "Yes Master Windu." Obi-Wan replied bowing and leaving. He sighed, knowing that it would take a long time to wake his Padawan and go to Naboo. He had been assigned to protect Senator Padme Amidala from several more assassination attempts.
Obi-Wan finally got to Naboo and Padme's guards were constantly on guard, stopping Anakin and Obi-Wan whenever they passed by. The Senator was very pleased at their efforts and persuaded the Jedi Council to let the two Jedi stay at Naboo for a while.
One night, Obi-Wan slipped out of the Senator's house and boarded his fighter, then flew back to the temple to meet his girlfriend Siri Tachi. Siri smiled at his arrival, then pulled him into a passionate embrace. Both Jedi knew that attachment was forbidden, but they didn't care. That moment that they were together felt like they were spinning through time and space.
On Naboo, it was the same story for Anakin and Padme. It was heaven for husband and wife to be together again, Jedi and Senator, Anakin and Padme. Finally The Negotiator and The Hero With No Fear had hope in this time of war.
There is unrest in the Galactic
Senate. Several thousand solar
systems have declared their
intentions to leave the Republic.
This Separatist movement,
under the leadership of the
mysterious Count Dooku, has
made it difficult for the limited
number of Jedi Knights to
maintain peace and order in the
galaxy.
