Harry's 6th Year
She's doing it again.
Making me feel guilty.
I know it's hard for her as well but I'm a werewolf for Merlin's sake! I cant go out with her!
But then she's everything I've ever wanted.
No Remus. Shut up. It's not going to happen. It cant.

Remus's 6th year
It was a warm summer's day and Remus was sitting on the grass outside Hogwarts doing his Herbology homework when she approached him, blushing slightly.
"Remus? Can I talk to you?"
"Of course." He put down his quill and turned to look at her.
"You
know I really like you…."
He sighed and looked away, "Why
me? You could have any guy in the school. Why me?"
"Because you're not any guy. You're Remus."
"Precisely. Remus Lupin. Werewolf."
"That doesn't matter and you know it!"
"It matters to me!"
She glared at him and stormed off towards the castle.

Harry's 6th Year
"Remus can I speak to you please?"
Remus put down his book and turned to her.
"Yes
what is it?"
"I love you Remus. Please don't push me away!"
"I'm
too old, too poor, too dangerous."
"Remus I don't care about
age difference, I earn plenty enough for us both and I'm trained to
defend myself against all eventualities!"
Remus stood up and
walked out of the room, leaving her standing there crying.

Remus's 6th Year
She was standing there with James looking happier than ever, Sirius and his girlfriend were off somewhere together, Peter was in detention and that left him. Alone as usual. She looked at him and he immediately looked away, knowing she was where she belonged.

Harry's 6th Year
She looked at him across the table at the meeting at Grimmauld Place and he could see the pain in her eyes. He'd already made up his mind and knew he had to tell her straight after the meeting. The rest of the Weasleys and Hermione would be arriving in the next few days and he didn't want them around when he told her. But most of all he didn't want Harry there. He didn't want to see her eyes looking at him in the same way they had done years ago at the thought of rejection.
