"Y-Yes! Thank you so much, Blue-san! I can't believe I actually won!" she shouted, her voice echoing throughout the gym. She quickly turned, gave a small cute wave, and raced down to the entrance. She rushed out the door, and...

She looked up from the impact, and saw a very, very familiar redhead.
"S-Silvy?! W-What are you doing here?!" she gasped.
Silver began to speak.
"You forgot about it this whole time..." he said.
Lyra's mouth formed a small O. "Forget what? I didn't forget anything. I just defeated every gym in Kanto! I have proof right here-" she began as she showed off her case, with 16 glimmering badges. Silver stared.
"Put it back. That's not what I meant. What I really mean, is that...all this time, while you challenged the gyms here, you forgot that my birthday was today? How pathetic." he said glumly.
"Y-Your birthday...was today?" said Lyra. She suddenly stood a little taller as she began to recognize her mistake. "Oh my gosh, Silvy, I-I'm really really sorry! Y-You know how much I care about things like this..." she gushed out, nearly falling until Silver held her up.
"Lyra. Calm down for once, will you? I know you meant your apology. Anyway...I came here for a reason..." he began to say.
"What reason?"
Silver sighed. "I used to live here. In Viridian City. But I think you know why, right?" he began.
Lyra sighed, even more deeply. "Because you're Giovanni's son. And he left you down that road," she trailed off, as she saw the beginning of Route 22. "And that's why you were always mean to me." she finished.
Silver looked at Lyra in the eye right as she said the last line.
"It's my birthday, Lyra. And it's also Christmas Eve. So, here's my present for you, Lyra." he said.
And with that, he kissed her on the cheek, and Lyra's cheeks began to flush a deep red. He let go, and Lyra turned to him and said,"Silvy...You like me don't you?"
For the first time, Silver smiled in front of Lyra. "It might not look like it, but I do. Actually...you're the most important person in my life. So this is my other present. I'm really sorry. for treating you that way. It reminds me of my dad." he said.
Lyra's cheeks began to flush redder. "Why...thank-thank you so much, S-Silvy! I-I've never been that important before..."
Silver took Lyra's hand, and began to stand up.
"Let's go now." he said, and Lyra followed.
"Where?"
"New Bark Town. We're celebrating Christmas together. Besides, this is the first Christmas I've spent with someone in five years." said Silver.
Lyra began to smile.
"Sure!" she said, and the two Trainers began to set off for Route 22, holding hands.
