Missed Opportunities
Chapter 1 (Michael's Apartment)
Michael is at his apartment still going over the fact of how A.J. could be guilty for Connie's murder not wanting to believe that A.J. is guilty believing in A.J.'s innonence when the evidence is all pointing to A.J. when there is a knock on Michael's apartment door.
Michael then says "I'm coming." The knocking continues as Michael then says "Hold your horses...I'm coming."
Michael then runs over to the door to go answer it and when he does he opens the door to find Penny on his doorstep the girl who he had a one-night-stand with. Michael then says "Penny...my God...what are you doing here?"
Penny then says "Well Michael you could say it's nice seeing you again but then again I can't say that I'm surprised...I didn't think that I would see you again much less that our paths would cross again."
Michael then says "Penny I am just genuinely shocked to see you again because I honestly didn't think that I would but Penny I am just not up for company right now." Penny then said "Well I'm sorry Michael because what I'm here to tell you is that...wow I don't even know how I'm going to say this but Michael I'm pregnant."
Michael is shocked into silence as he can't believe this as he takes a while to process this information until it sets in as he says "You're pregnant...Penny...how? I understand how but we were only together that one time." Penny then said "One time is all it takes Michael but I'm pregnant and that's not all Michael...this I should have told you when we first met but Penny is not my real name."
This shocks Michael yet again as he wonders what he has got himself into as he tries not to get angry at Penny for deceiving him holding his anger back as he said "If your name is not Penny...then what is your real name?"
Penny then said "Well my real name is...Serena Baldwin!" Michael of course is in shock as Penny revealed herself to be the daughter of Scott Baldwin and Lucy Coe as Michael then says "Penny...Serena...you are Scott Baldwin's daughter?"
Penny then said "Yes Michael...I am but I don't use my name of Serena because to tell you the truth I don't really like it...that is why I refer to be called Penny because it is a nickname I got when I was in boarding school in Paris and I guess it always stuck."
Michael then said "So Penny you knew who I was then when we met?" Penny then said "Yes Michael...I already knew who you were before we ever said hello...I guess you can say that I have read the newspapers...you are Sonny Corinthos' son?"
Michael then said "Yes because Sonny adopted me but my biological father is A.J. Quartermaine and my dad apparently has a history with your dad." Penny then said "Yes because of my sister Karen but I won't get into details...but Michael what are we going to do about this baby...our baby?"
Michael then said "Penny we'll figure this out somehow but I think for right now it is better that we keep our mouths shut...at least for now but yes I have every intention of telling my family about this but I don't know about you."
Penny then said "I plan on telling my parents as well as my step-father and my little sister Christina but for right now I think you had the right idea by not saying anything at least for right now anyway but I want you to know Michael that if you ever need me for anything...then I'm here and I'm so sorry for lying to you about so much."
Michael then said "I appreciate that you told me and now that I'm going to be a father...this changes everything."
