The Sports Medic

Chapter 1: Hello Pia
Pia Lazarrio-Samson (pronounced "luh-zahr-rio", as her Italian-born mother taught her to correct people who mispronounced it) was up early, getting ready for the first day of her exchange student career in Japan at Oujou High School. Pia was going to be a second-year, and from what she heard from members of her host family, the Miyazakis, she would probably be in classes with some of the members of the school's area-famous football team.
However, before we jump into our tale, a few facts concerning Pia. Pia's American-born father, Kurt Samson, who had a strong love of travel and foreign language, was vacationing in Italy when he met Pia's mother, Annuziata Lazarrio, who shared his passion for travel. As you can probably predict, they fell in love, got married, and produced Pia, continuing to travel in between. So because of this, Pia has a hyphenated last name, been to several parts of the world, and is fluent in English, Italian, and Japanese.
Now back to the present. Pia walked out the door with Tsuyu Miyazaki on their way to Oujou High School. Tsuyu pretty much filled Pia in on how things were, where to go for what, and who was trouble, sexy, and so on. They had finally got into the school gates when Pia commented on the mostly-female crowd near the school's front entrance.
"What's the commotion? Did we just miss a catfight or something?"
"No. Remember I told you all about Sakuraba Haruto?"
"Yes—wait, don't tell me those are all the girls from our school that are ga-ga over him!!"
"That's right. There are even more girls that are in love with him outside of our school as well."
"How so? Does he have his own manager or something?"
"Yep. Works through Jari Productions."
Tsuyu and Pia made their way through the crowd, which was beginning to break up. When they reached the top step before the door, Pia lost her balance and began to fall back. However, she did not go tumbling down the steps or hit the ground. Someone had caught her and she turned to see who did so. She turned and saw a dark-haired, muscular male with a serious, sober expression on his face.
"Are you all right?"
"Yes." With her answer the silent guy walked off.
"Pia, do you know who that was?"
"Not really."
"That was the star linebacker Shin Seijuro!"
"Oh my…" And with that Pia was at a loss for words
