"Rose?"

Silence.

"Rose?"

He thought for a moment that she'd gone off somewhere, but no – she was still there on the other side of the console. Staring.

"Rose! What's wrong?"

She kept staring. He followed her gaze down, down to a particularly uninteresting console panel. Simultaneously he waved a hand in front of Rose's face and checked the panel briefly: nothing wrong. Opening his mouth to call her name again, he was stopped just as quickly by the sound.

A long, low, barely audible growl.

He stared for so long he didn't notice her look up.

"What you staring at?"
