"Warren, buddy, look here." Baron said kneeling down trying to get the hysterical two year old's attention. Warren stopped sobbing and started sniffling and whimpering,"There we go. Come on buddy we have to do this."
Warren rubbed his eyes and whined,"No, I don't wanna."
Baron pushed hair out of his face wishing he had a hair tie,"Don't what? Use your words."
Warren pointed to the door that lead to the doctor's office,"No!"
Baron sighed and picked up his son," I know, buddy, but you wanted to be a hero like me and Mouchan, and to do that we need to make sure you're healthy."
Warren squirmed in his father's grip, protesting, he put a hand on his father's cheek and looked him in the eye,"No."
Baron pursed his lips, looking at the 27 pounds of pure stubbornness,"I'll make a deal with you."
Warren cocked his head and rubbed his eyes,"Huh?"
Baron let his son settle down on his chest,"If you get through this with minimal complaints, we'll get some ice cream?"
Warren sniffling slowed down and he buried his face in his dad's leather jacket, as the doctor appeared,"Mr. Battle? You can come back now."
Warren's arms tightened around his father as he stood up and followed the doctor into the checkup room.
