An old African American woman carrying a bouquet of flowers made her way through the cemetery. When she found the grave she was looking for she slowly set down the bouquet. Then she straightened and just stood looking at the grave in silence. "I can't believe it's been ten years," she said breaking the silence. "I didn't think that I would actually reach old age but I have. I didn't think I would enjoy retirement but I am I just wish you were here to enjoy it with me." She stopped talking and stood there looking at the grave reflecting. "Well I better get back" she said suddenly. She laid her hand on the tombstone. "I miss you," she said in a sad voice then she moved away from it and began walking back to her car. The tombstone read
